DELF / DALF Exams 

The Diploma in French Language Studies (DELF) is an official diploma issued by the French Ministry of National Education in order to certify the candidates’ linguistic competences in the French language. In order to get this diploma, the exam is adapted for each age and for all categories of public. The results are harmonized on a 6-level scale defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and they are valid for an indefinite period of time.

The Diploma in French Language Studies (DELF) comprises 4 independent diplomas corresponding to the four levels of elementary user (A1 and A2) and independent user (B1 and B2) defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. As to the Diploma in Advanced French (DALF), it comprises two independent diplomas corresponding to the two levels of experienced user (C1 and C2).

There are several DELF exams adapted for different categories of public

DELF Prim

designed for children aged between 7 and 12

DELF school and junior

designed for teenagers aged between 12 and 17

DELF Pro

designed for those persons whose goal is the professional promotion or integration in France or in the francophone environment

The exam comprises 4 tests: oral and written comprehension, oral and written expression. The DELF/DALF exam is taken on line at the French institute of Bucharest.
